Snowy Hydro Service to Begin Work on New Facility

Senator Zed Seselja will participate this morning in the ‘Turning of the Sod’ Ceremony for the new Snowy Hydro Southcare Training and Administration Facility at Symonston. He will be representing the Deputy Prime Minister at this event.

This facility has received $500,000 in federal grants aimed at improving the provision of trauma, emergency and medical services for residents of the ACT and South East NSW. The service has completed more than 5000 missions since it was established in 1998.

“The Snowy Hydro Southcare helicopter is a critical service for Canberrans and ensures fast and valuable medical treatment – often saving lives,” stated Senator Seselja.

The new facility will combine administrative and operational facilities allowing a more efficient service. Senator Seselja will be speaking at the ceremony to officially begin the construction of the new facility.

“I am proud to represent the Coalition Government at this event and take this opportunity to thank all those involved in providing this valuable service,” concluded Senator Seselja.

The ‘Turning of the Sod’ ceremony will take place at the Southcare Helicopter Base, David Warren Road, Symonston and will begin at 10am.
